Jolshiri Abashon, situated in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj District, is a residential area developed by the Jolshiri Abashon Corporation, a sister company of the Army Officers Housing Scheme. This housing development is exclusively designed for officers of the Bangladesh Army and was previously referred to as the Army Housing Scheme.
Jolshiri is an ambitious project by the Bangladesh Army to create a modern and comprehensive township development close to the capital city. It will be a smart city with integrated underground utility facilities, where only 52% of the land will be used for construction, and the rest will be open space. Recreational facilities such as lakes, parks, and an international standard golf course will be available, along with top-class education and medical treatment. The city will have a central business district with world-class community facilities available to all residents. Jolshiri is a unique and innovative development, unlike anything else in Bangladesh.
Jol Jongol aspires to become a part of this massive enterprise by proposing landscape design and solutions in selected project locations that will complement the smart city’s surrounding environment and bridge the gap between human dwellings and nature.
